30 things i wish i learned sooner

wassup guys.

So today, i've been thinking a lot about lessons i wish i would have learned earlier in life...

i know i'm only 18 and that makes me sound old...

but i just mean i wish i would have done in High School..

ha... ha....

so i came up with my top favorite 30 "life tips."

since i've been trying my best to listen and apply these little life tricks... i came to know myself better. i came to appreciate life, family, friends, and just LIFE in general. (sappy i know) i really became my own individual after i got out in the world(and by that i mean outside of the little world of Gilbert, Arizona i had grown up in.)...i'm still working on it but the progress is amazing already seriously.

and trust me this is not me saying, "i know everything about life, listen to me!" because i don't really know anything about life. (but who does, right?) i'm still pretty immature, naive, and i have SOOOO many more life lessons to learn. but i have also gone through my own couple of 'tribulations' and have learned a couple things for myself...

i think if you just try some of these, you'll find that you can learn things about yourself.... and you will be like "wow. life rox." because they have helped me A TON.

so i wanted to share my favorite pieces of advice.

kk here goes:

1.) Do things that scare the $#!+ out of you.

2.) Don't be afraid to spend a friday or saturday night with your family just because.

3.) Listen to music that makes you feel emotion that you can't feel on your own.

4.) Go with the flow. just expect your plans to work out completely different than you planned.... because they will...every time.

5.) If you are in a relationship, don't be afraid to be the person who loves the most.

6.) If you're not a "hugger"... become one.

7.) Be the best "you" you can be.

8.) And if "you" means that you're just a "basic" person who likes "basic" things... THAT IS OKAY. We live in a world where being different in unoriginal anyway.

9.) Have a green smoothie at least once a week... they make you feel happy and good.

10.) Trying going to at least one social event by yourself and meet new people by yourself. (this is hard, i know but you will find it is possible to do.)

11.) Always ask people if they need help.. even if you feel inadequate to do so.

12.) Give strangers sincere compliments. Then appreciate and notice their gracious smiles. Feed off that positivity.

13.) Try..just try at least once... not to argue with your parents and just say "Okay mom/dad i understand." then stop arguing. It will get you far...I promise.

14.) Enjoy your youth. It's okay to do crazy stuff with your friends but know the difference between DUMB and CRAZY...

15.) Embrace silence. That is when the spirit speaks to you the loudest.

16.) Go running, jogging or on walks at least once a week and look up at the sky and just enjoy the earth

17.) Think of school as learning and not work. (this one is hard.)

18.) Count your blessings & include your trials as blessings.

19.) Don't be afraid to cry yourself to sleep sometimes. It cleanses the soul.

20.) Learn to say "no" without explaining yourself.

21.) Volunteer at a shelter or a home at least once in your lifetime.

22.) Never give up on anything because it ALWAYS gets to it's worst... before it gets to it's best.

23.) Love yourself or no one else will. Love yourself so that you can love others with full capacity.

24.) Pray everyday. Randomly throughout your day say a little prayer in your heart saying "thank you Heavenly Father... thank you for everything good." Then look around you and at your life and i dare you not to smile.

25.) Don't just endure life....ENJOY it.

26.) Sacrifice the little things for bigger and better things.

27.) If you ever tell yourself, "Oh THERE IS NO WAY IN H-E-double toothpick that I can do that?!" ...prove yourself wrong.

28.) Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and try new hobbies. You never know how talented you are until you try. I mean, if you suck at it just try something else?

29.) Strangers don't care about your well being, so why do we let them control our actions? Don't let random h8r's stop you from doing whatever the heck you wanna do. like seriously, forget them?

30.) holding grudges, seeking revenge, being jealous, gossiping about people, getting offended by little things, and trying to impress people who don't give two cents about you are SUCH WASTES OF TIME. go read a book instead or watch netflix or even knit a beanie just do SOMETHING, ANYTHING but those things. they fog our thoughts with darkness and yucky-ness and they don't make us happy so whyyyyy do we do these things so often????

welp. that's some jade logic for ya.

i'm sorry if i wasted your time but i'm quite sure you'll get over it.

these were delicious^ seriously i probably ate like 10.

oh ya hey guys meet my older brother, clay^

they are perfection AM I RIGHT

i love weddings i love receptions i love love

very short story time (yay)

allie and i met in like 6th grade i think it was?... but we didn't become close then we just met through our friend chelsea.

anyways, we went to jr high together but still never got super close.

probably because i was a loser who had no friends (oh wait im still a loser that has no friends oops)

anyways, that summer rolled around and we went to girls camp together and pretty much hid away in the cabins together and bonded over stashes of junk food.

then high school came and we were always hanging out and sleepovers happened almost every weekend.

let me tell you guys a little something about allie. she is ....full of life. hahahaha only her close friends will understand what i mean when i say that.

& let me tall ya, you never stop laughing when you're with allie lesueur(now randall).

she is the friend that says exactly whats on her mind, even when it may not be the most appropriate time.

and the friend that always had a gazillion guys after her. and i was usually the wing woman but i was totes fine because no matter what, hanging out with allie meant sore abs from laughing so hard.

i could tell you a lot of funny (embarrasing) stories about allie and i'm positive she could tell you lots more about me.

but i will spare you.

what i'm getting at is i loved being friends with allie. she was always such a solid friend and no matter how long we would go without hanging out, we could always pick up exactly where we left off. i thank Heavenly Father for sending her into my life.

i love her oh-so much and am so incredibly happy for her. i don't know anyone more perfect for her than Austin. i know their marriage will be nothing less than amazing, they make a stunning and perfect couple.

(plus i give austin props for dealing with her hitting, pinching, spanking and all the other things she does to the people she loves..)

here is the wedding & engagement video i made for them:

(i double dog dare you not to fall in love with their relationship.)
